Through Bondage Music, English DJ Frink has dropped his latest EP Merkaba, which includes both ‘Sophisticate’ and its James Dexter remix. The tune is a relaxing, sparse tune, avoiding most sense of melody and instead replacing the empty space with infectious grooves and danceable rhythms. According to the Bondage Music SoundCloud page, the remix itself “is a tantalising journey, with crisp percussion, hypnotic vibes and a general uber cool aura”. Frink has had a number of successful musical ventures in the past, from well received sets around Spain, to almost a month in the Beatport Top 20 alongside Eddy Romero. -Dan Peeke
